I had the chance to introduce my wife and my youngest son to their first major league baseball game this past Saturday at Tropicana Field in St Petersburg Florida. The Rays beat the Orioles in a decisive fashion (7-3) with the help of Kelly Shoppach's pair of homeruns. His first being a grand slam into the left outfield bleachers, not far from our seats. I would being lying if I said the game was exciting and action packed, leaving my virgin spectators wanting for more. To be totally honest I think the live performance by Train following the game was the biggest hit of the night. Patrick Monahan was very energetic in his performance and played to the baseball crowd. At one point running the full distance around the baseball field high fiving the crowd as he sang Marry Me. And although I don't think I will be getting the two newbies back out to the ball field any time soon, I will cherish the memories of seeing my wife & oldest son bumping hips to the beat of the music. My youngest on the other hand was more interested in the end of the performance so he could get back to his video games at home. Below is a video I shot of the song If It's Love. Hope you enjoy.
